Bir gün sübh tezdən tələbə yoldaşlarımdan bri məni yuxudan oyadıb bildirdi ki, Zərifə xanım Əliyeva vəfat edib. Düzü şoka düşdüm. Birtəhər özümü toparlayıb təcili vida mərasimi keçirilən Alimlər Evinə getdim. Görkəmli alim, ovtalmoloq Zərifə xanımla vidalaşmaq üçün bura on minlərlə insan gəlmişdi. Öncə cənazə önündən Qorbaçov ( Allah Qorbaçova lənət etsin. Ulu öndəri də, xanımını da bu nanəcib insan xəstə saldı) və siyasi büronun digər üzvləri keçdilər.
Növbə sıravi vətəndaşlara çatdı. Rus millətindən olanlar çoxluq təşkil edirdi. Ağlım kəsəndən pərəstiş etdiyim, kumirim və idealım olan Sovet İttifaqı Kommunuist Partiyasının Siyasi Bürosunun üzvü, SSRİ Nazirlər Kabineti sədrinin birinci müavini, həmişə öyündüyüm həmyerlim Heydər Əlirza oğlu Əliyev cənazə önündə dayanmışdı. Ağlayırdı ulu öndər, göz yaşlarını saxlaya bilmirdi. Axı həyatda ən sevdiyi insanı itirmişdi bu dahi insan.
Vidalaşmağa gələn rusların arasında idim. Çoxluq təşkil edən rusların arasında gözü mənə, gənc azəri oğluna sataşdı. Oradan uzaqlaşana qədər gözünü çəkmədi məndən. Bir daha beynimdən bir fikir keçdi: Allah sənə lənət eləsin Qorbaçov!!!
Vida mərasimindən sonra xüsusi ayrılmış avtobuslara oturub Novodeviçiye qəbristanlığına gəldik. Yağış yağırdı. Yer də, göy də bizə qoşulub göz yaşı tökürdü həmın gün. Novodeviçiye qəbristanlığında güclü yağış olmasına baxmayaraq, xüsusi ayrılmış yerdə SSRİ Elmlər Akademiyasının Prezidenti, akademik Aleksandrov bir saatdan çox çıxış etdi. Görkəmli alim, ovtalmoloq Zərifə xanım Əliyevanın ovtamologiya sahəsində əldə etdiyi uğurlardan ətraflı bəhs etdi, insani keyfiyyətlərindən danışdı.
SSRİ xalq artisti Lütfiyar İmanov Z.Əliyevanın ən çox sevdiyi mahnılardan birini, Müslüm Maqomayev isə “Sənsiz” mahnısını ifa etdi.
Cənazə torpağa tapşırılanda qəbr üstündə Heydər Əliyev, Sevil Əliyeva, İlham Əliyev, Bəxtiyar Vahabzadə, Kamran Bağırov və tanımadığım bir neçə adam var idi. Allahsız Qorbaçovun fironluq etdiyi bir vaxtda ulu öndər heç nədən çəkinməyərək qəbr üstünə molla da dəvət etmişdi, yasin də oxundu. Kommunizmin tüğyan etdiyi bir dövrdə ulu öndər və onun ailə üzvləri çəkinmədən öz dini qaydalarımıza uyğun son mənzilə yola saldılar Zərifə xanımı.
